The new Crocs are not awful. You want to hate the brand that dumbed down American footwear in one clown-like swoop for having the nerve to spawn additional styles, but the truth is, the new wedge heel flip flop by Crocs looks more like something a person should wear in public (to a pool — not a dinner party).
There's also a wedge sandal with straps that does not scream Crocs but offers the brand's lightweight material, ergonomic design and anti-microbial qualities all for less than $55. (Was that four compliments? Scary.) Crocs also has gone and created a slim ballet slipper-style sling back out of its weird resin material, and it's challenging to knock that one, too, when the ultra fashionable Tory Burch now offers her signature flat in jelly rubber for three times the price.
Just please — if they come out with Jibbitz for these presentable styles, don't succumb.
Crocs are sold pretty much everywhere.
