Lisa Egnash of Oakdale has been making this simple three-ingredient dish for years. It's such a family favorite her kids often request it for birthday dinners. "Large or small curd cottage cheese will work," says Egnash. "But be sure to buy full fat, otherwise it won't be creamy."
What you need: 1 pound macaroni or other pasta, 1 pound bacon, 1 pound cottage cheese, salt and pepper.
How to make it: Prepare macaroni according to instructions. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces and fry until crisp. Drain. When macaroni is cooked, add cooked bacon and cottage cheese and heat until cheese melts and becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
