HISTORY / PIONEER THRESHING WEEKEND
Sept. 5-7: Be a farmhand for the harvest at the Oliver H. Kelley Farm. Staff at the historical site run this farm just like it was operated in the 1850s. Help gather grain bundles from the fields, thresh with a machine turned by real horsepower, bag up the grain and rake the straw. CHILDREN'S MUSEUM / LAST WEEKEND WITH CLIFFORD
Sept. 4-7: The big red dog is moving on. This is the last weekend to visit Adventures With Clifford the Big Red Dog at the Children's Museum of Minnesota. The temporary exhibit, which was created by the St. Paul museum, closes on Labor Day. Event / Renaissance Festival
Through Oct. 4: The annual Minnesota Renaissance Festival features entertainment, food and more than 200 crafters, including potters, jewelers and glass blowers. EXHIBIT / WOLVES AT THE BELL MUSEUM
Through Oct. 4: The fate of wolves, recently taken off the federal list of endangered species in Minnesota, is considered in the exhibit 'Wolves and Wild Lands in the 21st Century' at the University of Minnesota's Bell Museum of Natural History.
